Compression skid

Compact, efficient, flexible

Solution

Hydrogen

Country

Europe

Spain

The project in question was installed in the test and research center located in Alcalá de Henares, near Madrid, with the aim of testing high-pressure hydrogen.

Hydrogen is brought into the center in storage units.

The Hydro Mechanical compression unit compresses it by bringing it to a pressure of 200 bar and then stored in storage units.

Compact and integrated design

The skid includes cooling, electrical cabinet and control system, and is easily installed even in small spaces such as research centers.

High energy efficiency

Due to the low cycle number and 3 kW motor, energy consumption and operating costs are very low.

Wide pressure range

It allows operational flexibility for different hydrogen testing and storage needs.

Project Requirements

Suction pressure (bar) 8
Delivery pressure (bar) 200
Maximum flow rate (@ 8 bar) Scm/h 14

Idro Meccanica offered the TDE90 series compression skid
A compact skid, housed inside the research center, complete with cooling system and electrical and control panel.

A flexible and efficient solution capable of compressing and storing hydrogen.
The TDE90 hydro-mechanical compression unit, coupled with a 3 kW electric motor, is top-in-class in efficiency and flexibility: the wide pressure range (8 to 200 bar) in which it operates, the low number of cycles, and the very low energy consumption result in low total operating consumption over the entire product life cycle.
