Governments have issued a number of measures to protect the environment by imposing fines on companies that release or burn gas into the atmosphere.
Pipeline plants and generally any plant that handles natural gas needs to be periodically cleaned for maintenance purposes.
SAFE has developed a system that can recover gas by compressing it in the operating network or other processes.
A compact and flexible solution that can recover and then compress gas in the operating pipeline was required.

Operational flexibility and high efficiency

Compact system on skid, with SAFE SW series compressor, capable of adapting to different suction pressures (63 to 3 barG) and recovering up to 12,000 Sm³/hour of natural gas. Turnkey solution to reduce emissions and comply with environmental regulations.

Maximum integrated security

Installed in a soundproof and weatherproof container, the system is equipped with fire and gas leak detection devices, as well as an automatic fire extinguishing system.

Practical design for maintenance

Equipped with a lifting crane on the skid to simplify maintenance work. Each unit is tested before shipment and accompanied by installation and startup by SAFE technicians.

Project Requirements

Suction pressure (barG) 63 to 3
Intake temperature (°C) 20
Delivery pressure (barG) 76
Maximum capacity required at 63 barG suction pressure (Sm3/hr) 12000

High flexibility and efficiency: Compact turnkey solution capable of recovering natural gas and redirecting it into the pipeline;
consists of a single skid with a SAFE compressor SW series flexible and efficient coupled to an electric motor and equipped with a compact cooling system mounted on the same skid to cool the gas at each compression stage.The compression unit is capable of operate with different suction pressures (63 to 3 barG) due to the ability to switch from one stage up to two or three stages by pacing the decreasing suction pressure from the maximum value (63 barG) to the minimum value (3 barG), excluding the specific cylinder in operation, with a capacity of 12,000 Sm3/hour at a suction pressure of 63 barG.

Ensures high safety standards: The solution is fully packaged inside a soundproof and weatherproof container with fire detection/gas leakage and fire extinguishing systems.

Functional design for maintenance: The lifting crane installed on the compressor skid allows the Customer to reduce the time of maintenance activities; a customized turnkey solution fully tested on site before shipment. All installation, commissioning and start-up activities are performed by SAFE technicians “on site”.
