Cooling system

High-efficiency cooling systems to ensure optimal performance and maximum life for SAFE compressors.

Discover other configurations:

An effective cooling system must be installed on all SAFE compressors in order to:

  • Cooling the gas after each compression stage
  • Cool the compression cylinders, overheated by contact with gas and internal friction
  • Cooling the lubricating oil, which in turn lowers the temperature of the moving mechanical parts

SAFE provides water cooling systems as standard, and on request also air solutions for specific needs.

Key Benefits

Why choose the SAFE Cooling System

– Optimal control of compressor temperature and service fluids

– Improved efficiency and extended machine life

– Operational safety guaranteed even under severe environmental conditions

– Customizable configurations for different installation and noise needs

– Possibility of ATEX certification for installations in hazardous areas

Types of cooling

Available configurations

1- Water cooling system:

– Installed outside the compressor room (on the apron or roof).

– Use a cooled water-glycol solution, pumped to the compressor.

– Also available in ATEX version for installation near areas at risk of gaseous emissions.

– Low-noise configurations possible.

2- Air cooling system (on request).

Main components

– Fan battery

– Water pump

– Water tank

– Pressure indicator

– Water-to-gas heat exchangers, oil-to-water heat exchangers, cylinder liners
